Christina Lanzl's work is project-based and concept-driven. This approach has resulted in a diverse oeuvre, encompassing painting, sculpture, mediaworks, and public art. Three elements are central to Lanzl’s work: essence, relationships, and layers. Increasingly, her creative inquiry is focusing on cross-disciplinary dialogue. The artist has exhibited and received commissions throughout the United States and in Europe. Lanzl has received several awards of distinction, regularly publishes, lectures and presents at conferences. Her expertise in the arts and culture is complemented by twenty years of experience in working with professionals and design teams in the creative sector, and people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

As public art project manager for the UrbanArts Institute at Massachusetts College of Art + Design, Lanzl works with clients, communities and artists to create successful places that become part of our history, part of our evolving culture, and part of our collective memory. An expert in public art and design project management, community engagement, artistic and sustainable processes, Christina has completed more than fifty UrbanArts projects working with public and private sector clients, cultural institutions and grassroots community initiatives. http://www.urbanartsinstitute.org

Humankind's first visual expressions in the caves at Lascaux, France include the rendering of the horse and throughout the course of history artists around the world have continued to interpret it. Its shape and movement, aesthetic and symbolic qualities have inspired Lanzl’s work for many years, as she visually explores subject matter ranging from identity to the nature of relationships. Select paintings of the 1990s have been published as limited edition giclee prints.
