Recent history has taught us to take nothing for granted. Being unsettled has become synonymous with presence for many. I need a new language to show the fragility, ambiguity, sorrow and confusion, and the search for integrity, hope, love and a future. Crossroads borrows from the language of architecture to visualize change and development both on a general and personal level. These paintings are not paintings. They are plans or maps indicating change and development. These objects are not sculptures. They are models, structures, and construction zones. |
